  • Royal Holiday: Royal Holiday collects Personal Information about members at the time when a person first joins a program and while a person is a member. The main categories of information we collect relate to a person's general contact information, personal details such as age range and gender, use of the program, payment details, responses to surveys and other details, which are usually collected directly from the member.
  • Royal Holiday Resort Management: In its role of managing resorts, Royal Holiday collects Personal Information related to bookings and as necessary for other purposes related to the management of the resort facility. Further Personal Information may be collected in specific instances such as in the event of an incident occurring at the resort being managed for legal and insurance reasons.
  • Royal Holiday Travel: Royal Holiday collects Personal Information on individuals when they book their travel arrangements, in order to process the transaction and to fulfill booking requests with travel and tourism operators.

Our purpose in collecting information about You is to provide You with membership services, such as those provided in the Operating Rules. Royal Holiday uses Personal Information in several different ways in operating Our membership programs and operating Our business, and most of these uses are clear from the circumstances. We also use Your Personal Information for internal quality assurance purposes.

In case You change Your mind or some Personal Information is out of date, is inaccurate, or otherwise changes (such as Your zip code or e-mail address), We will try to provide a way to correct, update, or remove such Personal Information that You give Us. 1. What is Royal Dream Vacations?

Royal Dream Vacations is a trial membership that allows travelers to enjoy just some of the vacations, resorts and cruises that full Royal Holiday members return to every year. The membership includes discounted hotel accommodations, and all kinds of travel benefits that only belonging to a really big vacation club can give you. The Royal Dream Vacations membership works just like a full Royal Holiday membership but lasts just three (formerly seven) sweet years. Travelers can purchase accomodations from a limited selection of the full Royal Holiday collection of 180 holiday resorts and hotels around the world


2. What are HCs ?

HC is short for “Holiday Credits” (CV or Créditos Vacacionales in Spanish). Holiday Credits are the currency used for accommodations bookings when booking from the Royal Holiday or Dream collections. While full Royal Holiday members get an allotment of Holiday Credits every year, Dream Members receive Holiday Credits when they redeem any of the certificates in the Royal Dream Vacations package. The amount of Holiday Credits necessary for booking can depend on a number of factors, but every member can check the number of Holiday Credits and certificates available under the “My Account” section on the Dream website. There you’ll also find complete instructions for redeeming certificates and a lot more.


3. How do I activate my account on the Royal Dream Vacations website?

Activating your account is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. Just click on the "Activate your Account" button from the front of the website.

2. You’ll be required to fill in all the information. So here’s what you’ll need:

• Your Member Number, from the original contract, in the format: 000-000000
• A New Password of at least 8 characters
• Your email address


3. Please review all of the terms and conditions and check the box to confirm that you agree to them.

The system will then send an email to confirm the address. Once you’ve clicked the link inside, you can log directly onto the site with your member number and password.

5. What are the advantages of a Royal Dream Vacations program?

Royal Dream Vacations members get outstanding rates on regular holidays that are simply not available anywhere else. Members literally lock in weeks at the beach, on a cruise or high in the mountains, and plan in advance for more and better quality travel. The package itself is loaded with other benefits and regular travel allows members that much more rest, relaxation and fulfillment every year, and with a variety of planning, specials and services options, the package just gets more complete.


6. How can I use my Royal Dream Vacations program?

Follow these 3 easy steps:

  • 1. Plan your trip ahead of time. Some really popular locations will sell out months in advance. So choose a few and check the high seasons.
  • 2. Log onto the website or call the Membership Services center to check on availability and room options.
  • 3. Confirm your booking. Every time you reserve a hotel, you’ll see a complete list of options for the certificates you’ll use and the room sizes and other options available. And any left over Holiday Credits can go toward another vacation even more spectacular.


7. When is the best time to use my certificates?

The certificates are designed for use anytime. However, in general it is recommended that members familiarize themselves with the seasons (and thus demand) and plan accordingly. High and Prime seasons generally require longer advance booking.


8. How does my Royal Dream Vacations programwork?

The Royal Dream Vacations system works just like a full Royal Holiday membership, in the sense that members exchange Holiday Credits for the accommodation in the hotels (or Cruises) that they choose. However, instead of paying an annual membership fee, Dreams members can choose when to pay to activate each of the certificates in the Royal Dream Vacations package. There is a fee to activate each of the certificates, however there is no limit to combinations of Holiday Credits and the Holiday Credits last as long as the membership.


9. What does “Temporary Property” mean?

Royal Dream Vacations Members get special access to many destinations in the Royal Holiday collection, but not to the full list from which full members can choose. Temporary Properties are those made available on a limited time basis for the enjoyment of Dream Members. As they often represent some very special offers – as well as some very attractive destinations – Dream Members are encouraged to pay special attention to these limited time opportunities whenever they appear.


10. How many destinations I can travel to with the Royal Dream Vacations program?

Dreams members stay at more than 30 destinations in the USA, Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. There are sometimes short-term opportunities to visit some of the other destinations in the Royal Holiday collection. A few very popular hotels will require a surcharge and all hotels require that you book as early as possible.


11. How do I book a vacation?

Members can book online through the website where a complete breakdown of options is available. This can include descriptions of the hotels and locations and explanations of all the certificates in the package, their costs and any other charges. Once on the website, members can also click the chat button for step-by-step assistance at any stage along the way. Membership Services will also be happy to explain the use of each certificate by telephone or to book your trip based on the certificates remaining in your account.


12. How do I book my cruise vacation?

Using the Cruise certificates in the dreams package is easy from the website. Available three to four day cruises are displayed along with the full seven-day cruises. Simply logon, choose the Cruise that’s right for you and follow the step-by-step instructions. If you get stuck or need more information, Membership Services is always available through the Chat button, or by telephone to the Membership Services center nearest you.


13. 11. How do I redeem the certificates?

All the certificates in the package can be redeemed through the website. In general, you’ll select the destination, dates, number of people traveling and room size and then select the certificates you want to redeem, based on the expected cost. Options for the certificates to be redeemed will always start with the lowest cost, but you’re always free to choose the combination right for your travel plans. This process can also be followed by telephone.


14. Do the Perfect Vacation or First Vacation certificates need to be redeemed first?

No. Both the First Vacation and Perfect Vacation certificates are intended to allow new members a chance to use the system at little or no risk in order to familiarize themselves with the system. With an activation fee of just US$25, it’s a good introduction to the program, but you’re free to take an even more spectacular 30,000 Holiday Credit trip right off the bat.


15. Can I use more than one certificate at a time to add more Holiday Credits?

Yes. Royal Dream Vacations members are free to redeem as many or as few certificates as they’d like at any time. The website will always offer you the most ideal combination of certificates based on your reservation request and will first present the most economical combination. You know your plans better than the system can, so if you know you’ll be needing more credits later, feel free to redeem them ahead of time. Membership services can also advise you over the telephone as to available credits and certificates use so that you use just the right combination.


16. How do I use my Last Minute certificates?

Last Minute certificates, as the name implies, are used to book last-minute reservations for travel within two and 30 days and usually for promotions where occupancies allow. Some truly attractive opportunities will present themselves. The best way to find out about these deals is to check the website (though we will send some email reminders, too). Once a Last Minute deal is posted, the system works the exact same way and the Certificate will be offered along with the other certificates that you might redeem and often as the most affordable option. Occasionally some other deals will be presented and which will allow you to use the Last Minute certificate slightly further in advance of 30 days. You may also telephone for information on specials within the next 30 days.


17. How far in advance should I request my reservation?

Royal Dream Vacations members can book up to one year in advance down to just two days in advance. However, depending on the season and the demand in the location, recommended advance booking can vary anywhere from one year (in high demand locations) to about 90 days for high season in most locations. As you become more familiar with locations and demand during seasons, you will have more confidence about getting the bookings you want, but Membership Services will be happy to advise you for now.


18. Why do I have to pay activation fees for the use of the certificates?

Royal Dream Vacations is a trial membership intended to introduce members to the Royal Holiday system of Holiday Credits. The activation fees are paid instead of the annual membership fee that full members in the Royal Holiday vacation club pay each year. Although the cost is just slightly higher, Dreams members can use many of the same features as full members and see many of the same locations. The activation fees cover costs for accommodation at the resorts and hotels in much the same way as do the annual membership fees of the full members.


19. What if I want to cancel a reservation?

Cancellations policies are listed on the back of each of the certificates in the Royal Dream Vacations package. In general we recommend changing the name on the reservation and sending a friend or loved one in lieu of cancellation. Cancellations are generally handled as follows:

  • a) Cancellations 90 days or more prior to the reservation date are charged a penalty of US$40.
  • b) Cancellations between 89 and 31 days prior to the reservation date are charged a penalty of US$100.
  • c) Cancellations within 30 days of the reservation date will result in the forfeiture of the Holiday Credits and other charges may apply.

In cases where All-Inclusive fees or similar charges have been pre-paid, a fee equivalent to one night per two adults will be charged and the down payment in Holiday Credits will be credited to your account for a future reservation.

We recommend organizing the holiday with as much time as possible in advance to avoid cancellations.


20. What if I can’t show up on the first day of my reservation ?

Holiday Credits for the night will be forfeited as will any payment made at the time of booking. You must notify Membership Service by telephone as soon as you know you’ll be late, or email services@royal-holiday.com to request a late check-in and to avoid “No-Show” status which could nullify the reservation entirely.

21. What are the differences between lodging certificates and travel benefits?

Each certificate is designed to provide different benefits to the traveling members. Some are for booking rooms at participating hotels, others to book cruises and others for additional benefits that complement your holidays. These can include airfare discounts, amusement park passess, car rental discounts or special rates on travel insurance.


22. How do I use my Parks Pass certificates?

Your certificates entitle you to discounts on the advance purchase of admission to parks such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World among many others. This will allow you to avoid long lines and waiting to purchase admission tickets. Membership Services will be able to advise you, by telephone, on the purchase and delivery of your admissions tickets.


23. What’s the deal with the Rental Car certificate?

Rental cars can be rented in advance at a discount of up to 15% with Alamo Rent-a-Car, for travel in the USA, Mexico and Canada. Membership Services will be happy to assist you making the reservation.


24. Can I transfer my Holiday Credits to another traveler?

Yes. Many of your Royal Dream Vacations certificates are transferable just like with a full Royal Holiday membership. You may simply make the reservation in the name of the person intending to travel at the time of the reservation. This is also a very good alternative to cancelling a reservation.


25. Can I transfer my membership to another owner?

Yes, membership in Royal Dream Vacations is characterized by being flexible in destinations, dates and to transfer the membership to another owner. Contact Membership Services for details on transfering the entire membership to another name.


26. Once my program expires, can I renew it?

No, Royal Dream Vacations is a trial membership of three years only, though previous memberships of seven years are expiring now. Members are limited by a once-in-a-lifetime policy. Afterwards, all members are encouraged (with a US$1,000 discount) to inquire about full membership in the club and for annual travel to more than 180 destinations worldwide. 27. What I use all of my certificates and credits before the end of my program?

All of the additional benefits and travel services will remain valid for the remaining term of the membership. However to enjoy more Holiday Credits we recommend upgrading your membership to the full Royal Holiday vacation club. 28. How do I use my US$1,000 bonus?

The voucher for US$1,000 is valid only toward the purchase of full membership in the Royal Holiday vacation club, though the other benefits of membership are also outstanding. Ask Membership Services for details on upgrading your membership today.


29. How do I use my Friends Certificates?

The Friends Certificates allows current members to introduce friends and family to the full (and regular) Royal Holiday vacation travel concept. The Royal Dream Vacations package includes 5 certificates that will allow your qualified friends and family to stay 4 days and 3 nights for just $199 in any number of resorts. Other restrictions may apply. When your referrals become full members, you’ll receive a thank you of US$250. 30. What is Royal Dream Vacations Outlet?

The Dream Vacations Outlet is a section where last minute deals are offered. These include stays for limited numbers of days, set entry dates, and limited numbers of guests and nights. Outlet vacations are paid for (only) in regular US currency, (rather than in Holiday Credits) and always at extremely attractive rates. Where applicable, the price will include the All-Inclusive fee for all guests. Some properties, depending on the local regulations will charge you a small tax which is payable at the hotel.


31. What is the Cancellation Policy for Outlet Reservations?

Because all Outlet reservations are made at the last minute, they can NOT be changed, cancelled or refunded. All sales are as-is, and sales are final.


32. Can I receive or use Bonus Holiday Credits in the Outlet?

No. Bonuses for online booking are applicable only when booking with Holiday Credits. As the Outlet is “Cash-Only,” no Outlet bookings are made with Holiday Credits and thus, no Holiday Credits are awarded. However, savings in the Outlet are often so significant, you should still see a very good bargain when you book.
